  • Employee Benefits Litigation

The firm advises companies in audit and litigation before the IRS, the Department of Labor, the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, and the federal courts, with respect to employee benefits and fringe benefit issues.

  • Employment Taxes

We provide guidance to employers, including foreign corporations doing business in the U.S., regarding their employment tax obligations.  This includes working closely with client accounting personnel to advise on implementation of compliance procedures.  We also represent clients in employment tax disputes, including independent contractor issues.

  • Fringe Benefits

We have been heavily involved in the development of the current federal laws involving the tax treatment of fringe benefits.  We regularly advise clients regarding the tax consequences and obligations both to their companies and employees with respect to fringe benefits, particularly with those rules affecting regulated transportation industries, such as employer provided seats on airplanes.
