D. Mathias was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1940, received his degree from
Holy Cross College in 1962, and graduated with honors from Harvard University Law School
in 1965. Mr. Mathias is a member of the bar of the District of Columbia and U.S. Supreme
Court. From 1965 to 1982, he practiced law in Washington, D.C., specializing in the areas of aviation, government contracts, and international law. In 1982, Mr. Mathias joined Pan American World Airways, Inc. as Senior Vice President of Government & International Affairs. In December 1991, Mr. Mathias returned to private practice with the firm of Zuckert, Scoutt & Rasenberger. He specializes in aviation regulatory law, including operating authorizations, international aviation agreements, and compliance with economic and safety regulations. |
