Waid practices in the area of trade and financial
transactions, focusing particularly on international trade, secured
transactions, export credit financing, and cross-border lease financing of
commercial aircraft. He also advises on laws and regulations relating to
international trade and investment.
From 1991 until 1999 Mr. Waid practiced in the Office of the General Counsel of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, representing the Export-Import Bank in transactions involving borrowers and lenders from around the world for the financing of exports in a variety of industries, including commercial aircraft, chemical production equipment, and power generation equipment. Prior to joining Ex-Im Bank, Mr. Waid was an associate at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, in New York, where his practice involved representation of lenders in syndicated loan and project finance transactions. Mr. Waid is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and the State of New York. |
